ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (Nov. 23, 2011) — Curas Inc., based in Dardenne Prairie, Mo., has been chosen as November’s recipient of the monthly Business Spotlight Award from the Economic Development Roundtable of St. Charles County for “being recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately-held health information technology companies in metro St. Louis and throughout America.”
The E.D. Roundtable is a standing committee of the Economic Development Center (EDC) of St. Charles County with the local cities, St. Charles County Government, and the St. Charles County Department of Workforce Development.
Founded in 2004, Curas, Inc. currently serves over 700 physicians in 35 states and had 2010 revenue of $2.3 million, a 73 percent increase since 2008. For the last two consecutive years, the company has been named the No. 1 reseller for eClinicalWorks suite of Electronic Health Records and Practice Management Solutions. Curas has proven itself to be a national leader in implementing electronic records management systems, achieving a 99 percent success rate compared to an industry standard of about 27 percent.
“Curas is one of those little known companies making a tangible difference around the country in the field of electronic health records management systems,” said Brad Turvey, Dardenne Prairie City Administrator. “They have been recognized regionally and nationally as one of the fastest growing IT companies by the St. Louis Business Journal and Inc. Magazine, and we’re proud they’re headquartered and growing in Dardenne Prairie,” he said.
Each month a different company in St. Charles County is selected for the Business Spotlight Award based on criteria such as investment, economic impact, job growth, civic involvement, and entrepreneurial success.
